Company personnel are reminded that state statutes, regulations, orders or interpretations, which provide greater privacy protection than GLBA, are effective and not superseded by GLBA. The purpose of this policy is to protect the privacy of individual consumers by restricting the disclosure of their nonpublic personal information by the Company and its affiliates and to forbid sharing all personally identifiable with nonaffiliated third parties, except where required or otherwise authorized by law.

It is the policy of the Company to respect the privacy of its customers and to protect the security and confidentiality of their nonpublic personally identifiable information. Company personnel may not disclose to a nonaffiliated, or affiliated, third party any nonpublic personally identifiable information unless required or otherwise authorized by law.
Notice
GLBA applies to the provision of settlement services by title insurance companies and their agents in connection with the sale, purchase or finance of a customer’s home. The performance of closings, escrows, surveys, appraisals, flood certifications, exchange services, tax searches, title searches, issuance of title insurance commitments and policies, credit reports, notary services and document preparation requires compliance with GLBA. Notice of the Company’s privacy policy shall be delivered to the consumer on, or before, the date of his/her closing and shall be readily available on this company’s website.
Definitions

- Affiliate means any company that controls, is controlled by or is under common control with another company.

- Company means any corporation, limited liability company, business trust, general or limited partnership, association or similar organization.
- Consumer
- Consumer means an individual who obtains or has obtained settlement services from the Company or agent of the Company that is to be used primarily for personal, family or household purposes, or that individual's legal representative.

- Customer means a consumer who has a customer relationship with US Legal Solutions LLC and who has received a service from US Legal Solutions LLC in exchange for paying a fee to US Legal Solutions LLC.
- Financial Institution
- A financial institution means any institution the business of which is engaging in financial activities. An entity that provides real estate settlement services is a financial institution. The Federal functional regulators have determined that providing real estate settlement services is a financial activity. See e.g. 16 CFR 313.3(2)(x), 12 USC 1843(k)(4).
- Nonaffiliated Third Party
- Nonaffiliated third party means any person except an affiliate of US Legal Solutions LLC or except a person employed jointly by US Legal Solutions LLC and any company that is not our affiliate.
- Nonpublic Personal Information
- Nonpublic personal information is personally identifiable financial information that is not publicly available.
- Personally Identifiable Information
- This refers to information that lets us know the specifics of who you are. Personal information is requested when you order a service and send us feedback. It is also required for us to provide you the service offered by US Legal Solutions LLC.
